The Team's Message - April 2024
Dear Friends,
We are now at the end of the first quarter. From the beginning of April, the bridges at Grau du Roi will be open every day. You'll be able to enjoy your sea outings with fewer restrictions. We're keeping an eye on the situation, but we're sure it will be very difficult to get the mayor of Grau du Roi to open the bridges on bank holiday and weekends from 1 October to 31 March. We'll have to make do with what we have, and hope that the mayor of Grau du Roi doesn't get the idea of reducing the number of openings.
The date of our association's general meeting has been set for 3 August 2024 in the Flamingo Room. You can already reserve this date in your diaries. As usual, the meeting will be followed by a drink.
A survey of the sheet piles should be carried out by Port Croisade at the end of this year and the beginning of next year.
We will be contacting Mr Fontes for a meeting in June to discuss and find a solution to the problem of the increase in the TP02 index.
We wish you a fine spring and many pleasant walks at sea.
Take care and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We'll do our best to answer them.
Kind regards
The President of the Association and Board of Directors

The Day the Earth Stood Still
1951,directed by Robert Wise
is a 1951 American science fiction film from 20th Century Fox, produced by Julian Blaustein and directed by Robert Wise. It stars Michael Rennie, Patricia Neal, Hugh Marlowe, Sam Jaffe, Billy Gray, Frances Bavier and Lock Martin. The screenplay was written by Edmund H. North, based on the 1940 science fiction short story "Farewell to the Master" by Harry Bates. The film score was composed by Bernard Herrmann.[4] Set in the Cold War during the early stages of the nuclear arms race, the storyline involves a humanoid alien visitor who comes to Earth, accompanied by a powerful robot, to deliver an important message that will affect the entire human race. In 1995, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".[5][6]
