About the Pont de Provence

Located opposite the Aigues-Mortes railway station, this bridge, built in 1940, could no longer support heavy vehicles. From 2021, a 3.5 tonne limit was introduced with the installation of barriers at both entrances to the bridge.

It was necessary to rehabilitate it, and a complete renovation was chosen with a complete demolition and reconstruction.

From 3 January 2022, the bridge was closed to traffic.

4th June - The Pont de Provence is open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic

the Association's files
We have compiled here a history records of the steps taken and letters sent in 2018 by your association to preserve our environment and the quality of our Marina.

This is not done without difficulty and we use the various documents in our possession to support our statements and requests for action.

You will therefore find some letters sent to the Mayor to keep him informed of our wishes and also to prevent from any possible disorders that may occur, in his capacity as owner of the basin.

We also collected the letters sent to members to ensure consistency.

We will continue our efforts with the Town Hall in 2019, as shown by our attached letter dated 22 January.

We would like the Town Hall to take up the issue of the maintenance of the sheet piling curtain as it has taken up the issue of the dredging of the port.

The Mayor has fully understood the importance of preventive maintenance of the curtain and we hope to receive the same support in 2019.
