Dear Friends,
Summer is finally here! With the return of fine weather, the whole team at the association wishes you a wonderful summer. We hope you enjoy magnificent sea trips, lovely sailing and some well-deserved moments of relaxation on the water.
But summer isn’t just about lazing about, and several important issues are currently keeping our association busy.
TP02 Index: a rise that’s taking its toll
The economic climate remains complex, and we have just learnt that the TP02 index has risen again by 1.30 per cent month-on-month – representing a total increase of 3.38 per cent since last August!! This constant rise is beginning to weigh heavily on our budgets. Faced with this situation, we remain determined: we hope that Mr Fontes will listen to our arguments and be open to granting a discount to mitigate this impact. We will, of course, keep you informed of further developments.
On local council news: the situation is evolving...
On the legal and local front, the new council has secured a court ruling annulling the agreement that had been reached between the former council and Port Croisade regarding the payment of the penalty payments to which Port Croisade was ordered to pay in the ‘water depths’ case. This decision changes the landscape, and we are monitoring very closely the implications this will have for us and our activities.
We would like to remind you that our Annual General Meeting will be held on 1 August. The notice of meeting and documents relating to this AGM will be sent to you in early July. Your presence and your vote are essential in the current circumstances, so we hope to see many of you there; if you are unable to attend, please send a proxy.
Until then, make the most of the sunshine and the sea, and look after yourselves.
With kind regards
The President of the Association and Board of Directors
